With over 30 years' experience across two continents, Mark Bury is an accomplished and results driven land and development professional specialising in land acquisition, promotion, planning strategy, and disposal. Operating primarily across Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath and the wider South West, Mark leads complex land deals ranging from small infill plots and barn conversions to major strategic development sites, delivering exceptional outcomes for landowners, developers and housing partners.
Mark has built a reputation for his sharp commercial judgement, robust negotiation skills, and ability to unlock value through planning uplift, feasibility analysis, and collaborative promotion agreements. His experience spans strategic land promotion, S106 housing delivery, viability modelling, valuation, site appraisal, and partnership structuring with housing associations and private developers.
Previously holding senior roles including Area Land Manager at Sequence UK (Allen & Harris and Fox & Sons) and Land Acquisitions Director at Stonebury Land, Mark has consistently delivered pipeline growth, multi-site acquisition programmes, and planning led uplift for both corporate and private clients.
Mark is also engaged in the creation of Bury & Co Land & Planning, a premium consultancy designed to offer a modern, trusted, and relationship focused approach to land promotion, planning strategy and development advisory.
